Our Partnerships

We are incredibly proud of the strong partnerships we have established with prestigious institutions like Roedean School and Brighton College. These collaborations enrich our curriculum and provide our children with unique opportunities that foster both academic and personal growth.

At St. Mark's, we believe in a holistic education, which is why we offer a wide range of enrichment activities for our children. Our children benefit from access to a swimming pool, the use of minibuses for school trips, and specialized weekly Maths lessons tailored for rapid graspers in Year 6. Additionally, we organize weekly enrichment visits to Roedean, where our students engage in sports and broader curriculum lessons, including Russian, philosophy, and art.

A highlight of our partnership with Roedean is the invaluable reading programme, where Roedean girls come to read with our children each week. This initiative not only boosts a love of reading but also fosters meaningful connections between students. The CAP girls from Roedean are actively working with our children to develop a historical timeline, enhancing their understanding of the past. Moreover, our Language Buddies programme pairs Roedean students with St. Mark's children who share the same mother tongue, providing essential support in their learning journey.

Roedean's commitment to our school is further demonstrated by their generous contributions to our library, ensuring that we have a continually stocked resource for our pupils. Their dedication to our partnership has even been recognised with a national award, highlighting the positive impact we are making together.

We are also excited to launch a new partnership with Brighton College, focusing on enhancing speaking and listening skills through drama. Our students have already participated in engaging drama workshops, and we look forward to utilizing the Brighton College theatre for performances. The support for music from both Roedean and Brighton College enhances our cultural offerings, with various performances and workshops throughout the year.

To complement our science curriculum, the science lead at Brighton College is creating "lessons in a box," providing our teachers with innovative resources to add excitement to our science club and themed lessons.

At St. Mark's, we are committed to creating an enriching, nurturing environment where every child can thrive. We look forward to continuing to expand these partnerships and providing our children with the best possible education.

Allowing them the opportunities to Let their light shine - unlocking their talents, interests and learning for life.
